Power Aware Simulation

Questa One Sim PA

Questa One Sim PA enables design teams to functionally verify the active power management planned for implementation much earlier in the design process. With comprehensive UPF based verification and debug solution users can easily locate architectural and behavioral issues.

Why Questa One Sim PA?

Effects of active power management on the design’s structure and behavior are reflected in the waveform, schematic and power state/transition views. Questa One Sim PA automatically detects power management errors in both the architecture and behavior of the power management system.

Dynamic and static checking

Detects power management errors in both the architecture and the behavior of the system. Static checking during UPF processing identifies architectural issues, while dynamic checks during simulation identifies behavioral issues.

Integration with verification

Power states and transitions are saved in the coverage database. Power-aware goals are auto-extracted from UPF into the verification plan which can be merged with the coverage database for tracking coverage closure.

Ease of use

Multiple views (waveform, schematic, and power domains, etc.) enable designers to find and resolve issues in the power managed design quickly and efficiently.
